Weekly diary #74: Finishing my 7th semester!

Hi there, welcome into my weekly diary! In this diary I want to show you how I try to live an eco-positive lifestyle and what that looks like on a daily basis. The past week I had my last official day of my 7th semester, really enjoyed the snow watched some documentaries and movies! Want to read along?

Thursday
Today was the last day of my minor in Nijmegen, the official last day of class! I handed in all of my projects that were left and said goodbye to everyone. It was all very strange, since they’ve been my classmates for 6 months and now our roads will go in different directions. It feels like it just me now. Only my thesis is left, which will start in Februari and if I pass that, I’ll graduate. Each step closer is so weird! I took a picture while walked away from the school, since it don’t know when I’ll be there again haha. I finished my book ‘Brandpunt aarde’ about climate change, it wasn’t that special in my opinion. So, I went to the library to get a new book. I love going to the library, the ambiance there is lovely.

Friday
Since I have some time left until my thesis starts, I want to work some more to save for a holiday this year. So, today I worked from 12 till 8.

Saturday
Today is my standard day for work, so I worked again from 7 till 5. Yesterday, I felt like I was getting a cold. Today I felt terrible, so I went to bed early. I did watch a movie still, Captain Fantastic. It was on my list for a while and I loved it! The story was amazing, I really can recommend you watch the trailer.

Sunday
Today my handball match was scheduled. It started at 14:30 and so I slept till 12 am. I guess I really needed the sleep, since I felt so bad yesterday. It’s important to me to wake up naturally on the days I can, no alarm. So, today I had 14 hours of sleep. That’s okay, I try to listen to my body. Sometimes I sleep 7 hours, sometimes 14. It depends. We lost the match again with just 1 point (18-19), just like last week. But this time it was harder to swallow, because we had been one point ahead the whole game, but we lost in the end. Stupid. At night, I had been up late (I forgot time) because I had been looking for a holiday journey. We are probably going to Albufeira this year and I’ve decided to quit flying since it is so bad for the environment. I don’t exactly know what I am going to do yet, I could go by train or by bus. Bus is cheaper, but then I’d have to sleep in it. And if there’s one thing I would like to avoid it’s that. We’ll see.

Monday
I had some plans for chores of mine, but work texted and asked if I wanted to work. I’ve decided to say yes every time I can, because I want to save for my holiday. So I worked from 1 till 5 pm. I wrote a blogpost at night and watched a documentary too, more about that soon!

Tuesday
Exiting day! I went to ETN to talk the owner today. We had met before and she offered some space in her salad bar for my business cards so more people know about my package free webshop, Loose. We match very well because ETN is one of my favorite places in Enschede to go and have lunch, since they have a lot of vegan options. I went to library to read some magazines, made my favorite vegan ‘tuna’ salad.

Wednesday
Not such a productive day, although I was free. I slept long and went to the gym. I vacuumed the whole house and wrote this weekly diary. Later today I’ll have to work and go to some friends to play board games.

Maybe this wasn’t the most special week to read about, but I have those too haha! I am very happy about this past week, because it was nice and relaxing for me.

Yours sincerely,
Romee
